Satan Press – An annotated bibliography
Satan Press was a division of Consolidated Publishing, Inc. which put out sadomasochism and bondage-themed books in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, along with others that explored subjects like teen prostitution, rape, and incest, corporal punishment, and gay heterosexual sex. The covers feature a nice silhouette of the Devil himself, with an explicit pornographic photo lovingly framed by his horned, bearded head.
The covers provide a clear association of sex with deviant and anti-Christian behaviour. Ironically the Satan Press books were published by a company based in Anniston, AL – a city ranked as the most “Bible-minded” city in America for 2015 by the American Bible Society. Satan Press is yet another great example of the hypocrisy of capitalist Christianity – God condemns sex unless you’re making money from it.
The series comprised seventy-five titles, numbered from SP-301 to SP-376, with SP-365 never printed. There are various authors and, since some wrote under multiple pseudonyms, it is hard to tell how many individuals contributed.
The principal contributor, by far, is Paul Little, who wrote forty-three of the seventy-five titles, under the pseudonyms of A de Granamour, Kenneth Harding, Jack Warren, Chastity Bell, Ronald Worlin and Hugo Paul. Little’s obsession is the female rear end and its discipline, but his novels have plenty of heterosexual sex and occasional lesbianism.
Most of the titles are illustrated with black and white line drawings, approximating to the story, and somewhat explicit, although the draughtsmanship of the illustrator, and there seems to be only one, leaves much to be desired.
The standard of editing across the series is poor, with misprints and spelling and grammatical errors abound.
The final books in the series, from about SP-362 onwards, are not really CP novels, but fairly unpleasant, usually poorly written tales of sexual torture.

SP-301 Kenneth Harding- Cockpit
Family drama set in Detroit. Two brothers and their adventures in running a cabin ranch. Culminates in an illicit cock fight. Lots of sex not much flagellation.
SP-302 Pierre Fortunaise- See How They Writhe
Contains two separate stories. The first features Olga and Natasha, two beautiful Russian spies on assignment in Morocco, where whippings and torture, both given and received, are their lot. Appears to be badly translated from a French Original. The second story is a translation of Sweet Sixteen and Spanked by Sadie Blackeyes, a pseudonym of Pierre Mac Orlan, a writer of French flagellation literature in the early 20th century. The story concerns the spankings administered to Alice by her stepmother and others.
SP-303 Aime Cessin- The Road to Perversion
After a breakdown Nicole hitches a lift with a truckdriver who rapes her. Then she is picked up by Jacques who takes her to his home where he and his lecherous wife introduce Nicole to sexual perversions of all sorts.
SP-304 Armand Legros- Room Service
First published in France 1968 by Editions Boulanger 17 Rue Arsene Lupin, Paris. Translated from the French by Arthur Melville. A kaleidoscope of erotica in the luxurious Hotel Paradiso setting for an intriguing folly a quatre. The fearless foursome try everything alone, in pairs, in threes or altogether for fleshy pleasures. These gourmets of physical delights turn to chastisement for passionate arousal and oral and anal methods of sexual satisfaction.
SP-305 A de Granamour- Trip to Torture
Three young women, Cordelia, Priscilla and Lucy, go on a trip to the Ozarks, where they fall into the hands of a corrupt judges and his evil henchman, the local county sheriff. Jailed on false charges they suffer spankings and worse from their captors.
SP-306 Kenneth Harding- She Loves Her Shackles
Lovely Betty Aronson runs up some big gambling debts and the club owner takes it out on her bottom before forcing her to have sex. Surprisingly Betty likes it very much and comes back for more.
SP-307 A de Granamour- Carnal Captives
Florence and Wilma Stanley fall into the clutches of cruel Sir John and his beautiful but sadistic secretary. Naturally spankings and straight and lesbian sex are the result.
SP-308 Kenneth Harding- Black Lust
Five uppity white girls visiting a black nightclub are seized by the band and spanked and raped. Although protesting loudly they all seem to be none the worse for it. A number of racist assumptions not unexpected for the sixties underly the action.
SP-309 Kenneth Harding- Sisters of Satan
“Sold into whoredom by her vengeful sister, Jane Clifford experiences her first sexual defilements, the sting of the lash, bite of bonds-and the acrid taste of a man’s turgid organ. But at the end of her ordeal, she is to savour the sweet taste of complete revenge.” Set in California. Marge, the older sister has a passion for see her sister flagellated and we go on from there.
SP-310 Richard Dixon- Naked Politics
Written in the sixties this novel is set in the seventies and is about three successive presidents, all brothers of the Kelland family named John, Robert and Edward. They all get assassinated for daring to make concessions to civil rights. Most of the action is about their sexual adventures and those of their nymphomaniac wives. Only in America.
SP-311 Kenneth Harding- Don’t Fiddle
Subtitled ”Till you see the whites of their Thighs”. The first adventure of Jack Warren, the insurance investigator, who tracks down a Stradivarius violin stolen from the leader of a lesbian orchestra led by Mona, a beautiful dominatrix. Jack quickly finds that they all turn heterosexual after a good spanking.
SP-312 Kenneth Harding- The Incestuous Uncle
The home of a timid professor and his two orphaned nieces seems an ideal realm for a domineering bitch. The dominatrix subjects the trio, as well as her frightened daughter, to all manner of whippings. Finally, the professor decides he is not so timid and gives her a sound thrashing and soon she is thoroughly tamed.
SP-313 Kenneth Harding- Painful Education
American contemporary discipline novel. Alice Evans lives with her aunt who keeps in check with hand and hairbrush. The aunt’s talents impress the owner of a small private school for girls who employs her to deliver spankings to all the pupils, including Alice.
SP-314 Kenneth Harding- A Stepmother’s Slaves
Three daughters get an unwelcome surprise when their widowed father remarries, and his bride turns out to be keen on the discipline of unruly teenagers. The new wife is assisted in this activity by her lesbian maid.
SP-315 Kenneth Harding- Kidnapped Cousins
A pair of sadistic siblings, brother and sister, kidnap two beautiful young women and subject them to all sorts of cruelty, including bestiality, uncommon in Little’s erotica. Illustrated with 16 line drawings.
SP-316 A de Granamour- The Cult of Sathanas
Historical flagellation novel. The hero, a rich young Englishman, indulges his passion for whipping and subjugating young women, first in a girl’s school, with a pair of kidnapped Italian sisters and finally by joining a mysterious middle eastern cult devoted to enslaving girls for the delectation of members. Illustrated with 16 line drawings.
SP-317 Chastity Bell- Heiress to Eros
A contemporary flagellation novel. Helen brings up her daughter Jill to accept and find sexual pleasure from being spanked. On her sixteenth birthday Jill gets he first man. Both women end up in a club to cater for sexual deviants and live happily ever after. Illustrated with 20 line drawings.
SP-318 Dr Guenter Klow- I, Masseuse
Dr Klow, Paul Little’s pseudo-psychiatrist, introduces Gerda, a masseuse who specialises in giving her clients of both sexes just what they want which is mostly sex and spanking. The book is in diary form with a dozen interludes. Illustrated with 20 line drawings.
SP-319 Pierre Le Duc- Northern Lash
Sex and torture in backwoods Canada in the 1850’s. Young Bess is assaulted by her foster parents, abducted by trappers and captured by Indians but none of this prevents her finding orgasm wherever she goes. Illustrated with 16 line drawings.
SP-320 Will Henry- Spanking Stewardess
Six airline stewardesses, all roommates, decide that spankings are the best way to maintain order within their group, and then, when their boyfriends join in, other things rear their heads, much to the girl’s delight. Illustrated with 16-line drawings.
SP-321 A de Granamour- Conjugal Lash
This is a Paul Little translation of a French flagellation novel Venez ici, qu’on vous fouette ! by Jean Martinet (1938). The story concerns the transition of Lisette from innocent to lesbian to fulfilment as the submissive wife to a virile and dominant male. Reprinted by Venus as Restless Nights by Jack Warren, 1973 and as The Metamorphosis of Lisette Joyaux by Anonymous, Masquerade, 1990 and again the Paul Little as author. SP edition illustrated with 16 line drawings.

Under the guise of religious training, virgin youngsters are taught carnal secrets. Innocent and naive, they are introduced to the orgiastic experiences of cunnilingus, fellatio, anal sex and sado-masochistic sex games. The operators of the camp are, of course, the ones to reap the delights of these young, alive bodies.

Story about the tortures endured by victims of the Inquisition in 15thC Spain. Like most Paul Little historical fiction makes a reasonable fist of authenticity, although the priests seem more interested in the bottoms of the female victims than their souls and, of course, vows of chastity tend to be ignored. Reprinted as Abused , Larry Booker, Venus Library V-1196 and again as Trials of the Inquisition Masquerade MB-1462 1990. Illustrated with 16 line drawings.
SP-336 A de Granamour- The Young Sadist
A domestic discipline novel set in 1960’s America. Stepmother and daughter are both disciplined by a dominant father/husband. Reprinted in the Venus Library as A Peculiar Passion , Kenneth Harding V-1180. Illustrated with line drawings.
SP-337 Kenneth Harding- Sex Slave Secretaries
Set in the 1960’s Chicago advertising business, various young female employees get spanked and fucked by their bosses. A sadistic lesbian also features in the action, so the girls get it from both directions. No reprints identified.
SP-338 Alexis Jones- Spanked Shoplifters
Set in California in the 1960’s, the owner of a local department store decides to solve his shoplifting problem by spanking the thieves, who turn out to be universally female. Aided by his lesbian, sadistic manager he puts his plan into action. It is not only the shoplifters who get their bottoms blistered, but also his wife, his mistress, and his teenaged daughter. The story reads like a Paul Little and this may be one of his many pseudonyms.
SP-339 Kenneth Harding- Confessions of a Spankee
The central character in the story, in a series of confessional interviews to the author, tells how after many spankings from her stepfather, boyfriend and later husband, she becomes addicted to punishment and the sexual arousal and orgasm that follows.
SP-340 Kenneth Harding- Diary of a Spanko-Rapist
The confessions of a man who, inspired by his sexual fantasies, kidnaps, spanks and rapes a series of women over a span of several years in California. The story, in style and content, is a modern version of A Man with A Maid, almost certainly deliberately so, as many of the ‘victims’ become aroused and willing submissives. This book was reprinted in the Venus Library as Abused, Larry Booker V-1176.
SP-341 A de Granamour- Sado-Slaves of the Sheikh
Historical novel set in Morocco after the First World War. Replete with floggings, sodomy and rape inflicted on Berber women by the colonial French or on captured white women by the native population in revenge, Has the usual Paul Little attempt to achieve some period verisimilitude.
SP-342 Kenneth Harding- Seduced by Spanking
Predatory women who seduce young men and arouse them by spankings before taking them to bed. The same women are also keen to get their own rear ends seen to by more adult lovers. Another 1960’s novel set in the USA.
SP-344 Alisha Fielding- The Pain Deviate
Strange story about a sadistic dentist who enjoys inflicting pain on his patients, both male and female, and then having violent sex with them. The author’s style is not well developed as the book consists of a series of very short sentences.
SP-345 A de Granamour- The Virgin and the Sadist
The son of a wrongly executed man kidnaps the daughter of the police chief responsible for the death and subjects her to whippings and forced sex aided by two female accomplices. The mother of one of the girls is also subjected to the same treatment, more to pad out the story than for any contribution it makes to the plot.
SP-346 Jack Warren- The Hairbrush Caper
This is the first Paul Little attempt at a pulp hard-boiled detective novel, starring Jack warren as the protagonist. After some early biographical background explaining Jack’s early life and how he becomes attracted to spanking young women, Jack starts a detective agency specialising in the use of the hairbrush on the clients, the bad guys (girls) and his secretary to get to the truth of the matter.
SP-347 A de Granamour- Passion Slaves of the Neo-Nazis
A rather more complex story than usual in this genre, this tale is set in Paris and Buenos Aries in the 1950’s. Trude is a young German girl, daughter of an ex-Nazi who, before his death had hidden a large amount of stolen Jewish money, is enticed into a fake marriage by members of the Tacuara Neo-Nazi movement, taken to Argentina and tortured to reveal where the money is hidden. Quite a few other women are subjected to the same treatment. Since this is a Paul Little the tortures consist of whippings and sex.
SP-348 Michael Doverman- Be My Slave
Peter acquires the statuesque Derry as his personal slave. Over a period of months he subjects her to a regime of strict discipline and obedience training, largely consisting of floggings to all parts of her body. Derry, who is a true submissive, willingly complies.
SP-349 Guy Wolfe- Whips Incorporated
A long pseudo psychological introduction on sadism is followed by five stories, the protagonists being two men and three women, who are able to indulge their sadistic inclinations, which largely involve flagellation followed by sexual gratification. The stories are all set in Europe in the middle of the 20th C and are unusually brutal.
SP-350 Verna Thomas- My Further Spanking Adventures
The narrator gives an account of her experiences as a slave/servant of the Phoenix Club, an association of wealthy individuals inclined to flagellation and enforced sex. Verna is a willing participant despite the many spankings meted out to her and the other women forced to join in the games.
SP-351 A de Granamour- The Stock, the Pillory, and the Post
Paul Little historical novel set on the slave plantations of Dutch Guyana in the 18th century. Plenty of punishment of female bottoms, and sexual violence, along with Little’s efforts to give a period flavour to the narrative. The story climaxes in a slave rebellion, where the slaves take revenge on their torturers. May have been reprinted in one of the later Venus Library issues not yet identified.
SP-352 A de Granamour- Martha and the White slavers
Martha and her sister, Carole, are tricked by their conniving uncle, and find themselves in the hands of group of white slavers, The sisters, and other unfortunate girls suffer all sorts of indignities and are punished severely if they resist. Eventually they are rescued in a surprise twist.
SP-353 A de Granamour- Peeping Deviant
A building superintendent spends his days and nights spying on the sexual activities of his tenants. These folks turnout to be what must be the largest collection of deviants ever collected under one roof. Our hero goes from voyeurism to participation with unfortunate results.
SP-354 A de Granamour- I Train Naughty Wives
A young man is introduced to sadism in his teens and devotes his life to seeking out women to dominate by spanking them until they submit. Eventually he graduates to training girlfriends and wives of other men for money.
SP-355 A de Granamour- Spanked Suffragettes
A Paul Little historical novel set in pre-First World War America about the struggle for the vote by the early women’s movement. The movement is opposed by most men and, naturally, in this version, spanking is the method resorted to discourage the youngest and prettiest.
SP-356 A de Granamour- Come into my Whipping Parlor
A young man, in the USA of the fifties is introduced to pain for pleasure by his German governess who whips him and his sister and teaches him about sexual pleasure as a bonus. As a grown man he seduces his fellow college female students, his girlfriends and later, his future wife into the pleasures of sex preceded by punishment.
SP-357 Verna Thomas- Spank Me Harder, Lover
Sixteen-year-old orphan Verna gets adopted by a couple who are keen on spanking and lesbian sex with their adoptees. After initiating Verna into these games, they introduce her to Mark Fontana and his group of sadistic friends who indulge in more extravagant discipline. Set in 1960’s USA. Verna becomes a willing masochist.
SP-358 A de Granamour- Pain Lover
A complicated story with multiple characters – a dominating librarian who punishes her employees and compels them into lesbian sex, a wife swapping club where the cheating wives are whipped to encourage their infidelities. All set in west coats USA.
SP-359 Jack Warren- Pain Parlor
Mae Burroughs, the owner of the Stylist Beauty parlour in Chicago, holds a weekly Friday night punishment session with her eight employees for any of them who have displeased her or the customers. The girls are apparently not that good at their jobs since most of them get spanked every week. These punishments leave them eager for sex when they meet their husbands, boyfriends, and girlfriends later that night.
P-360 Arlene Dorley- My Spanking Diary
Arlene keeps a diary of the spankings she and her sister receive from their mother. Their father is dead, and mother remarries a man, who, unsurprisingly, is very keen on disciplining both daughters and mother. Arlene eventually falls in love with a young man, who is also keen on reddening her rear and they live happily ever after.
SP-361 Ronald Worlin- Whipping Memoirs
Paul Little historical novel about an English governess who gets a job gets a job teaching the daughter of a Balkan Grand Duke in the period before World War 1. Unfortunately both the Grand Duke and daughter decide the governess works best as a sex slave. Then there is the Baroness whose has her own private bodyguard of well disciplined young ladies.
SP-362 Richard Mori- School for Suffering
Extremely unpleasant story about a girl tortured and abused by a group of female sadists, although some men also get their turn, not to mention some large dogs.
SP-363 Bruce Kemp- Spanking School
A teenage orphan is despatched to a school run by a sadistic headmistress who dishes out canings and other punishments to her pupils. The students include recalcitrant married women sent by their husbands to learn obedience. The husbands get to join in as well, not necessarily with their wives.
SP-364 Larry Booker- Bound in Chains
Several winsome young ladies motoring through backwoods Mississippi fall foul of a small town Sheriff who not only has a well-equipped woodshed where he punishes offenders, but also access to the local Reformatory for Girls.
SP-365 Not found – may not exist.
SP-366 Frank Bellows- Performance of Pain
A couple of aspiring actresses fall in with some shady characters. There is a large amount of brutal sex and a few torturing’s as well, although this is not a corporal punishment novel as such.
SP-367 Dale McHenry- Lesbian Torture Trip
Novel of a slave-ship, set in the present. The ship is commanded by Greta, a sadistic lesbian, who indulges herself with the slaves, who are all female. One of the slaves, Linda, another dominant female, foments a rebellion among the other slaves. Who will win?
SP-368 David Chesterton- Chains of Love
This nasty book has a foreword which neatly summarizes the plot.
Morgo and Delanna are the blackest villains to ever gain power over a city. But whether they are human or not, they know the secrets of instilling terror in their victims and the subtlest arts of insuring pain. Morgo and Delanna are unleashed to work their evil deeds on the prostitutes and streetwalkers of fun-loving Barcelona. They are called into action by the Comandante of Police who has little conception of the tools his agents will use to curb the desires of unsuspecting sinners. The rack, the gouge, the guillotine, and the cross are but a few of the instruments that are used to subdue the passions of the prostitutes.
SP-369 Craig Mueller- Every Day Another Whip
Once again, the foreword gives the best impression of the plot
Jessica Brandon ran her prison like a slave camp, and in a way that was what each one of the prisoners was, a slave. Some of the matrons had the choice of getting a slave for their private lives. The girl slave was bound to do anything that the mistress wanted her to do. If she failed to behave she was taken out and whipped, or tortured in another of the hundred different ways. There were hideous machines about, machines with the sole purpose of creating pain.
SP-370 David McKenzie- The Dean’s Revenge
From the foreword
This novel depicts a reform school in all its savage cruelty. The director, Mr. Sawyer, and his wife, the Dean, will subject the girls to anything if it brings them the smallest amount of pleasure. The girls are helpless; indeed, they are slaves. One of the girls, Marge, arrives at the Sargeant School for Girls to find the other girls at the mercy of the Sawyers. She finds that they can be beaten, whipped, spanked, and raped, by either man or wife, at their discretion. There is no chance of escape.
SP-371 Karl Kraus- Abandoned and Beaten

Alma Rose loved her spankings more than any normal child should. The tingling she got in her teenaged bottom led her to experience the delights of the sado-masochistic world that opened to her as a young woman. Foreword
John and Cindy had met during college, in one of the large town’s S & M bars. Both being confirmed masochists, they found it difficult at first to get along, and again, after years of marriage, decided that they simply had to find some sadists to join their perverse community of deviant lovers.
SP-374 Jack Rankin- The Manor House: A Tale of Torture
Abner Glitch had a manor house at which he stored female slaves and female mistresses. They performed in the ways he wished them to-the mistresses, of course, taking charge of the employee-slaves and torturing them endlessly. But then, there was Master Ken, too. He, perhaps, was the worst of the lot, as Mimi discovered. He was the one who, after the women had undergone lesbian sexual degradations, would take each slave and perform even greater tortures upon her.
SP-375 Lindsay Latham- Teenage Sadists
Foreword
Carole was sent to the Sawyer’s home because it had a reputation for turning young delinquents into upstanding citizens. Of course, no one knew exactly how they did it, but whatever, the results were always good. Carole was one of many who found out the hard way why they were so successful.
SP-376 Robert Waring- Raped and Humiliated

Stephie had a lot going for her. She was bright pretty and voluptuous. There was one thing wrong. She liked to live in a dream world. So instead, she wove herself into an unreal world of fantasy and degradation. Her ultimate degradation, one of pain and torture.
